A few weeks ago two friends and I submitted some ticket requests for the Vancouver 2010 winter olympics, and we’ve been waiting with bated breath to find out if we got any tickets. Thankfully M’s got a degree in mathematics, because we had to do all the various permutations of ticket combinations to ensure us a good shot at getting tickets. If any event got an excess of requests, then the tickets would go to lottery. After the deadline, Vanoc2010 said that approximately 120 of the 170 events were over-requested! That meant lottery for all of those. We thought we were done right there when we heard that. But we were keeping our fingers crossed, that’s for sure.

And tonight I noticed that there’s a $3800+ charge on my Visa card…the one I was leaving empty for the Olympic tickets. So I logged into my ticketing account and saw that I was alotted some tickets! We got some! I am SOOOOOOOOOOO excited! Although at this stage we don’t know what events we got tickets to, but we got some. Woo! Stay tuned for an update on what we’re going to see!
